IV THERAPY
Individualised IV Therapy in Berwick
Clinically assessed • Prescribing Doctor involved where required • Registered Nurse administered
At SkinIQ Aesthetics, IV therapy is provided within a clinically governed framework. Each client receives an individual health assessment before treatment to determine suitability and identify any relevant risks or precautions.
Where a proposed IV treatment requires prescription medicines, an appropriately authorised prescribing doctor is involved in the assessment and prescribing process before treatment is administered.
IV therapy is administered by a Registered Nurse following the approved treatment plan and prescription where required.
Clinical & Prescribing Oversight
Registered Nurse Assessment
Before treatment, relevant health information is collected, including your medical history, current medications, allergies and other factors that may affect treatment suitability.
Prescribing Doctor
Where prescription medicines are proposed, an appropriately authorised prescribing doctor reviews the relevant clinical information and determines whether prescribing is appropriate. A prescription is not guaranteed simply because an IV therapy consultation has been booked.
Registered Nurse Administration
Once the appropriate clinical assessment, prescribing requirements and informed consent have been completed, IV therapy is administered by a Registered Nurse in accordance with the prescribed treatment plan.
Monitoring & Aftercare
Clients are monitored during treatment and provided with appropriate aftercare information.

Your Safety Comes First
IV therapy is an invasive healthcare procedure and is not suitable for everyone.
Potential risks can include discomfort, bruising, bleeding, infection, irritation or inflammation at the cannula site, dizziness or fainting, fluid-related complications and reactions to administered substances. Other risks may apply depending on the individual and the treatment prescribed.
Your individual risks, treatment suitability and alternatives will be discussed as part of the consultation and informed-consent process.
Booking an IV therapy consultation does not guarantee that treatment or a prescription will be provided.
IV Therapy Options
IV Hydration Therapy
Intravenous fluid therapy may be considered following clinical assessment. Your medical history, medications, allergies and individual circumstances are reviewed before treatment.

A consultation for clients interested in discussing IV therapy as part of their general health and wellbeing care. Treatment will only proceed when clinically appropriate and, where prescription medicines are involved, following assessment and authorisation by the prescribing doctor.

A consultation for clients wishing to discuss intravenous nutritional therapy. Treatment options are determined following individual clinical assessment. Further medical assessment, pathology or prescribing-doctor review may be required depending on your circumstances and proposed treatment.
Recovery & Hydration IV Consultation
For clients wishing to discuss their hydration and recovery needs with a healthcare professional. Any treatment provided is based on individual clinical assessment rather than a predetermined treatment package.
Skin & Wellness IV Consultation
A consultation for clients interested in discussing IV therapy in the context of their broader skin and wellbeing goals. Suitability is assessed individually and no particular treatment outcome can be guaranteed.
Individualised IV Therapy
Where clinically appropriate, an individual treatment plan may be developed following assessment. The substances used, dosage, frequency and treatment plan are determined according to individual clinical requirements. Where prescription medicines are involved, treatment requires an appropriate prescription and prescribing-doctor involvement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a doctor involved in my IV therapy?
Where prescription medicines are required, an appropriately authorised prescribing doctor is involved in the prescribing process. The doctor reviews the relevant clinical information and determines whether prescribing is clinically appropriate.
Who administers my IV treatment?
IV therapy at SkinIQ Aesthetics is administered by a Registered Nurse following completion of the required assessment, prescribing and consent processes.
Do I need a prescription?
This depends on the proposed treatment. Where prescription medicines are required, an appropriate prescription must be obtained before treatment is administered.
Can I choose my own IV ingredients?
You can discuss your concerns and treatment goals during your consultation. Treatment is not based solely on selecting ingredients from a menu. The proposed treatment is determined according to clinical suitability and applicable prescribing requirements.
Will I automatically receive treatment after my consultation?
No. A consultation or prescribing review does not guarantee treatment. Treatment will only proceed when it is considered clinically appropriate and all relevant clinical and prescribing requirements have been satisfied.
